ACCA Membership Renewal Fee and procedure

The Executive Committee of APACA, which was founding Executive Committee meeting of ACCA in its meeting held on 13th October, 2014 decided as under;

Membership Fees:

New - An amount of 25 USD was agreed as entrance fee and 20 USD annual subscription due effective after one year from the date of admission.

Existing - All existing members of APACA to be members of CACA without entrance fee.

Note: the CACA was later named as ACCA.

The above admission/renewal fee was later ratified by the 1st AGM of ACCA and 2nd AGM held on 11th November, 2016 decided to keep the fee levels as earlier.

The admission to ACCA had started on October 2015 and most if not all members were admitted by 31st December, 2015.

The renewal process has been delayed for some technical reasons. The Article III of the ACCA Constitution provides for membership as under;

Article III - Membership

Following are eligible to be members of ACCA:

  1. All existing APACA members irrespective of place of residence can opt to be a member of ACCA;
  2. Any Fellow or Associate member from any Actuarial body with interest to develop the actuarial consulting practice in Asia.
  3. Any Actuarial Association and Associations in the Consulting area may be admitted as an Affiliate Member subject to conditions laid out in the rules made for the purpose. However, such Affiliate Members shall not have voting rights and cannot hold positions within ACCA.

So far members only under Article III (i) and (ii) have been admitted.

The Renewal procedure will as under;

  1. All members admitted under Art III (i) (ii) till 31st December, 2015 irrespective of whether category (i) or (ii) [called individual members];
    • Should renew membership by paying online US $ 20.00 latest by 30th April, 2017.
    • If renewal is made from 1st May, 2017 till 30th July, 2017, then late fee of US $ 5.00 has to be paid.
    • For renewals on and after 1st August, 2017: fresh admission process has to be followed and according the fact that the applicant was earlier member and the membership lapsed has to be disclosed in the Application Form.
  2. All individual members admitted under Art III (i) and (ii) from 1st January, 2016 till 31st March, 2016:
    • Should renew membership latest by 30th April, 2017.
    • For renewals on and after 1st May 2017 and till 30th July, 2017, late fee of US $ 5.00 has to be paid.
    • For renewals on and after 1st July, 2017: fresh admission process has to be followed and according the fact that the applicant was earlier member and the membership lapsed has to be disclosed in the Application Form.
  3. All individual members admitted under Art III (i) and (ii) from 1st April, 2016:
    • The renewal will fall due on 1st of the month immediately after the expiry of twelve months from the month of admission.
    • The renewals after three months from the due date as above and till six months, late fee of US$ 5.00 has to be paid.
    • For renewals after six months from the due date: fresh admission process has to be followed and accordingly the fact that the applicant was earlier member and the membership lapsed has to be disclosed in the Application Form.
